News.ai helps you follow the news faster. We respect the journalists and publishers whose reporting makes that possible. This page explains how News.ai uses news from websites and how we credit and link to it.

We summarize, we don't copy

Our summaries are short, original AI-written overviews of publicly reported stories. We don't reproduce full articles, paywalled content or a publisher's original text. Where a story has a preview image, it is the image the publisher itself provides for sharing links (its social preview image).

Every story is credited and linked

Each story in the App shows the publications it comes from. Tap Sources on any story to see every source and open the original article on the publisher's own website. Publisher names and links are never hidden or removed.

News.ai is a starting point, not a replacement for the original reporting. For full details and context, we encourage you to visit the publisher — every source link in the App sends you there.

AI can make mistakes

Summaries and fact-check scores are generated by AI from the linked sources and can be incomplete or wrong. Always check the original source before relying on them.

Removal and correction requests

If you are a publisher or rights holder and want a story, image or source removed or corrected, email hello@alterside.io with the subject line “Content request” and include:

• the link to the page (or a screenshot from the App) and the story it concerns;
• the link to your original work;
• what you would like us to do (remove, correct or change how it is credited);
• your name, organisation and a way to reach you, and a statement that you are authorised to make the request.

We review requests promptly and will act on valid requests as soon as we can. We may contact you if we need more information.
